Who Needs a Lexus if the World is Flat?

Via Catallaxy, "Flathead" is a brutally funny review of New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman’s latest book, The World is Flat. It’s reminisent of "The Datsun and the Shoe Tree", a classic send-up of The Lexus and the Olive Tree published in the American Prospect a few years ago.

The shame about the Friedman-bashing is that he’s an extraordinarily incisive journalist when it comes to writing about the Middle East (where he first made his name). On globalisation, he generally gets the big things right. It’s just a pity he suffers from a tendency towards glibness.
