"Speed camera and red light camera ahead"
– Look down at your speedo! No, up at the lights! No, down at the speedo! ….
LOL.
I am pleasently surprised to discover that this is a satirical blog. Keep up the good work and don’t mind the bollocks.
You drive in your Speedo?
Anon, my American wife made a very similar comment when I first used the phrase “check the speedo”.
You could always just brake.
In American would it be “check yer speeed”, or “watch the clock”, or “check the odometer”?
“Keep up the good work and don’t mind the bollocks”.
Agreed, although it is hard not to mind the bollocks, when you’re looking down at your speedo…
That whole interpretation falls down because the correct grammer is speedos, as in ‘looking down at you speedos’. But it is worthy and funny just the same. Never let the truth get in the way of a good laugh exectera.
I still think the best term for them is “budgie smugglers”.
