Boyd Hunter, probably the leading Australian economist working on Indigenous issues, is giving a lecture next week, entitled “Why Indigenous Policy Needs to be Based on Evidence and Not Hyperbole”. The lecture will be on Thu 3 Aug, in the Manning Clark Lecture Theatre No.3 at the ANU. All welcome.
Larissa Behrendt will also launch a new book edited by Boyd (Assessing Recent Evidence on Indigenous Socioeconomic Outcomes: A focus on the 2002 NATSISS). Afterwards, there will be ‘refreshments’ served in the foyer. The book will be on sale for $29.95 a copy. Better yet, at some point, electronic copies will be available free from ANU E-press. I’ll post a link when I have one.
[Note: An earlier version of this post incorrectly confused the title of the book and the lecture.]
