The Faculty of Medicine at UNSW is looking for an economist to work on the Drug Policy Modelling Program.
This position forms part of a new program at NDARC, the Drug Policy Modelling Program (DPMP). The DPMP is a five-year program concerned with both scholarship and practice in illicit drug policy. The program of work includes developing the evidence-base for policy, such as through systematic reviews of interventions and the conduct of demonstration projects; creating and using dynamic models of drug epidemics, markets and interventions to better inform policy decision-making; ongoing study of policy-making processes in Australia; and interactions with policymakers on current issues.
The work from Stage One (2004-2005) can be found on the Turning Point website.
The position is at level B or C, and the selection criteria are here. Applications close 15 September.
