Please welcome…

Well, it took a while, but our first child entered the world at 11.43am this morning. After some consideration of the options, we’ve named him Sebastian Leigh.

At 4.4kg, he’s a good sized fella. Mum and bub are doing well. Dad is having some trouble wiping the silly smile off his face.

Congrats! We’re so happy for you guys. I guess they were pretty close on those weight estimates. Be sure to spoil Gwen as much as you can the next few weeks. And that smile is permanent I think. Moe hasn’t lost his yet.

Can’t wait to meet Sebastian. Love to the whole family.

    No middle name?

Let me suggest two: Oswald Harvey

it’s possible that “Dad is having some trouble wiping the silly smile off his face.” is the most poignant thing i’ve read in years. moved me. puts into words the reaction that i would love the (yet unmet) father of my (yet born) children to have, however he would express it. it’s going to linger in me. thank you & congratulations.
