Charity Rating

Today’s NYT writes up two hedge funders who rate charities on their effectiveness. Their assessment certainly seems more robust than most charity-comparison sites I’ve seen. Their site is GiveWell.net, and they have a blog, natch.

    Clearly we need to someone to do the same thing for Australian charities – any volunteers?

    Completely agree. By coincidence, there’s an Aussie outfit of the same name (givewell.com.au), but it certainly doesn’t seem to be doing this kind of robust analysis that these guys are performing.
