RSSScholarships

My academic home, the Research School of Social Sciences, is offering some new PhD stipend scholarships. Details over the fold.

The Research School of Social Sciences has a number of PhD scholarships available which must be taken up by the end of June 2009. The scholarships are available to Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents and New Zealand citizens. The value of the stipend is $20,000 per annum for 3 years, subject to satisfactory progress.

Scholarships will be considered in the areas of Economics, History, Political Science, Philosophy and Sociology.  Interested applicants should have a First Class or Upper Second Honours Degree (or equivalent).

Candidates should send a CV and a two page outline of their research by email to Professor David Marsh, Director, Research School of Social Sciences.

Deadline for admission/scholarship forms: Wednesday 6 May 2009

    What is Q at P = $20 000?

A rhetorical question of course. Having completed my PhD several years ago I am surprised scholarships are not more these days.
